Terms Of Service

1. Acceptance of These Terms

By calling, texting, or otherwise using the Service ("Tech‑Help Line"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. What the Service Is

Tech‑Help Line provides on‑demand instructions and troubleshooting tips for consumer technology via voice and SMS/MMS messages. Message frequency depends on your requests.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or have a parent/guardian's consent) and reside in the United States. You represent that the phone number you use belongs to you or you have permission to use it.

4. Consent to Receive Messages (A2P Compliance)

  • Opt‑In. You opt in by (a) texting us first, (b) calling us and requesting responses by SMS, or (c) completing any web form that states you agree to receive texts. We will confirm your opt‑in with a "Welcome" message.
  • Opt‑Out. Reply STOP, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, QUIT, Revoke, STOPALL, or OPTOUT at any time to stop all texts. We will send one final confirmation message and then cease messaging.
  • Help. Reply HELP, or INFO for contact information and a link to these Terms.
  • Message & Data Rates. Standard carrier rates apply. Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
  • Message Frequency. Messages are sent only in response to your inquiries. No unsolicited marketing texts will be sent.
  • Record Keeping. For compliance with CTIA and carrier rules we log opt‑ins, opt‑outs, and message metadata.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  1. Use the Service for illegal, fraudulent, harassing, or abusive purposes.
  2. Impersonate another person or misrepresent affiliation.
  3. Transmit content that infringes intellectual‑property or privacy rights.

We may suspend service or report content that violates law or CTIA Messaging Principles.

6. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the security of your device.
  • Data charges incurred with your carrier.
  • Verifying any instructions before acting; you assume all risk associated with implementing advice provided.

7. Privacy

We collect and store the phone number you use, your messages, and basic device metadata to operate the Service and meet carrier record‑keeping obligations. See our Privacy Notice for details on data retention, security, and your rights.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee that instructions will be error‑free or that the Service will be uninterrupted.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, our total liability for all claims related to the Service shall not exceed US $100. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages arising from your use of the Service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Tech‑Help Line, its owners, officers, and employees from any claims or damages arising out of your violation of these Terms or misuse of the Service.

11. Modifications to the Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be announced via SMS or on our website. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to its conflict‑of‑laws rules. Any dispute shall be resolved by binding arbitration in Norfolk, Virginia, under AAA Consumer Arbitration Rules. You waive class‑action rights.
